A Mild and Pleasant Land
Surrounded by vast mountain ranges, and the East China Sea, Wenzhou has called it self home to many things, including one of the most difficult dialects to understand and learn in China. It is also the birthplace of my grandfather, Mao Kan Tai, and grandmother, Kit Man Wong. Despite no longer living in the city located in south east China much of their life remains there. This work is an exploration of the physical, and symbolic bridge that connects the old with the new, and the possible.
